The MUA embarked on a new business opportunity in 1999 by receiving trucked in waste from septic companies. With the ability to treat more wastewater, we also began treating wastewater for portions of Woolwich Township under a sewer service agreement.

Plant #2 was constructed in 1995 enabling the MUA to treat up to 2 million gallons of wastewater per day. When first opened, the MUA was able to treat up-to 1 million gallons of wastewater per day.
